Acceptable Tack

Snaffle bridle only for prelim and novice. Snaffle or simple double for elementary.

Correctly fastened riding hats to the current standard (PAS 015/EN 1384) must be worn at all times when mounted on the showground.

Competitors may only use items of saddlery which are accepted by British Dressage, this rule also applies when working in.

British Dressage permitted bits: Loose ring snaffle, Loose ring French link snaffle, Loose ring lozenge link snaffle, Eggbutt snaffle, Eggbutt French link snaffle, D-ring snaffle, Full cheek snaffle, Fulmer, Half spoon snaffle, Hanging cheek snaffle, Straight bar snaffle, Roller centre snaffle, Snaffle with rotating mouth piece. Bits of rubber, nylon or other synthetic material are permitted, but must not be modified in any way.]

British Dressage permitted nosebands: Cavesson noseband, Flash noseband, Drop noseband.

Martingales/training aids are not permitted unless riding non-competitively.
